Quest for the Q4 Numbers
Quest for the Q4 Numbers
If you're streaming your playthrough, let me know because I'd love to watch it!
Current build: v1.1 | March 29
The Midwest Regional COO Roz Walters is in town... and she's not happy.
John Bastion, Dan Smith, Gail Davidson-Durst, and Orlando Bloom have been tasked to compile and submit the Q4 numbers before the End of Business day. What kind of crazy shenanigans will they get up to?
- Comedy D&D inspired story (you will laugh!)
- ~3 hours of gameplay
- 30+ different maps
- 60+ Easter eggs
SPOILER ALERT: This game is based off Season 1 of Offices & Bosses, from the podcast Hello from the Magic Tavern.
It can be played without listening to the podcast, but some context to make it less confusing:
- Main podcast - an Earth man (Arnie) fell through a portal into a fantasy world (Foon) and becomes good friends with a shapeshifter who's almost always a badger (Chunt) and a very loud wizard (Usidore).
- Offices & Bosses spinoff - the 3 of them play Foon's version of D&D, which has a setting of... this mundane real world of ours.
This game follows their first "actual play" campaign - most of the in game dialogue comes straight from the actors' mouths. To best enjoy it, I strongly recommend re-listening to Season 1 of Offices & Bosses (~4.5h) first: main website or Patreon (filter by 2023).
Note that the podcast contains mature themes, but those have been intentionally left out of the game to adhere to the MPA PG-13 standard. There is a single mention of the word "sex", a few mentions of the word "sh*t", and a bunch of blood spots in the cafe map after the human enemies are defeated.
I hope you have as much fun playing the game as I have making it!

As if it were programmed by Metamore himself
I nominate Sarriest for this year’s Wizard’s Choice Award, because the creative energy put into this RPG will play an instrumental role in defeating The Void!
This adaptation builds impressively well on a faithful foundation, and many easter eggs that I could find had me tickled. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the Company Retreat chapter was easily my favorite.
The only bad thing about this is the instant urge to beg for follow-ups. (And I suppose getting absolutely demolished by Roz in the final chapter. But that’s a skill issue.)
I hope Arnie’s WiFi signal is strong enough for itch.io, and the Mysterious Man makes an exception to his interdimensional policies, because this is too good to miss.
